Tia started dance at age 4, beginning her training at Durham Dance Centre and later joining PSB / Interplay Dance Academy in Toronto, ON. She began competing at age 6 in various styles (ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and contemporary). At PSB / Interplay, she successfully completed her Intermediate and Advanced 1 Cecchetti exams and Intermediate RAD exam. After graduating high school, she joined Brock University’s varsity dance team, winning the Rookie of the Year award and becoming Vice President the following year.
In addition to her dance training, Tia has experience teaching students of all ages ballet, tap, jazz, and acro. She has also had several opportunities to choreograph for PSB / Interplay Dance, Brock’s varsity dance team, and for full-length musical productions.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology, Tia still finds time to dance whenever possible. She is excited to join Ballet Etc . . . and looks forward to connecting with everyone!
