Emily believes that great dance education combines artistry, athleticism, and discipline. Driven by a desire to understand the body, dance, and its culture she pursued an Arts and Science education at Brock University, where she studied the many factors that shape dance.

Her background includes the study of human biology, anatomy, gender and disability studies, sports and recreation, and effective teaching practices. Alongside this knowledge Emily has industry experience such as dancing in film projects with local artists, and music videos, including work with Canadian pop duo Crash Adams. By blending knowledge, experience, and a love of teaching, she aims to provide students with training that is both creative and safe rooted in science and best practices.

Above all, Emily is passionate about fostering dancers who feel confident in both their knowledge and artistic expression. Her classes cultivate curiosity through mind and movement.
